a lot of people say that lucid dreaming is random, but other people say its not ,and you just have to get god at it, which one is it? random, or how skilled you are?
What do you mean by random?
I would say both… Having some skills definitely helps ALOT. I still cannot induce it at my will, but i would not even have 10% of the lucid dreams i have now if it wasnt for me practicing it. Some people do also get to the level of being able to induce it at will through for example a technique called WILD.
both. Lucid dreams can certainly happen at random, but they occur more frequently if you are more aware during the day, and think about them a lot.
You can also practice techniques for inducing lucid dreams, and eventually master them so you have them every night (or the nights you choose to have them… so pretty much every night.)

Eh… I say definitely not random if you know the techniques. Ask people here how many LD’s they’ve had before this site, and how many after this site. I’m pretty sure no one has had fewer LD’s since this site.
They can be random sometimes, but usualy you have to try and do it…
