Hi,
I had a dream and I was awake in that dream. Then I went to sleep, and that dream was about me being lucid. Before that dream, I was telling myself what I would do in that dream. So for example I asked a Dream Character what they represented. They didn’t tell me. The whole thing felt controlled though, not lucid. Is it possible to have a dream about being lucid, but not actually being lucid?
No, that’s a FLD. A LD is where you are aware, not all lucid dreams contain controlling. But most, like, 99.9% (made up, I’m estimating… from experience) are controlling.
I might of got a few things wrong, but that’s the basics of it.
Thanks, I know I don’t have to control them. It kind of seemed like I was aware, but when I thought about it, it seemed like it was controlled by the dream for that to happen, because I felt no excitement, which isn’t how I would have reacted.
A FLD is a great sign that you are on the right track, because you are obviously becoming more and more involved in your dreams then.
One caveat, like void~star hinted, you don’t have to be in control to be lucid. Lucidity just means awareness. If you thought at any point “hey, I’m in a dream!”, then you were more likely lucid than not.
