I’ve been attempting lucid dreaming for almost 3 months, I’m 21 so I guess it might take a while. The other day I just “woke up” and looked at my phone and saw that the battery was about to die and all my contacts disappeared … and then I actually woke up and realized it was a dream. I go back to sleep and then I look at my phone again and see the same scenario and think “I must be dreaming again … oh wait, I am dreaming!”
I knew I was dreaming but the entire time I was just sitting in bed, I wanted to get up and go to the park or whatever but I couldn’t. I was very aware I was sleeping and having a dream but had zero control over it.
My question is if this is a start, does this mean that I am progressing and will eventually have a LD that I can control?
Hey…you are saying it might take a while, yet you did it!
It was low lucidity, without control, yes…but it was still a lucid dream, since you were aware of the fact that you were dreaming.
Of course it’s a start.
Yes, it is a progress, and hopefully, you will get a vivid LD soon.
It might happen sooner than you think.I wish you luck!
Thats more than a start, thats a full blown LD. Congrats on your first one!
I think Lord Antares mentioned this already, but it was probably a low level of lucidity LD. In other words, you knew you were dreaming, but you didn’t really grasp the implications of what that meant. My favorite way to improve low lucidity level dreams is to just shout “Increase Lucidity Now”. Sounds goofy, but it works very well for me. The combination of me saying those words (gets me thinking about being lucid) and using those words to interact with dream makes it easy for me to get more focused on what being lucid allows me to do.
