I joined a year ago today. That’s kind of weird that just today I decided to check when I joined at it was the exact day a year later…

When did you join? and how long have you been here?

well i guess it’s pretty obvious just look at everyone’s info at the left of their post :smile: hehehe. nah i’ve been here for about a year and a half and i enjoy it. it’s usually been off and on but lately i’ve become so interested in dreaming i doubt i’ll leave again :smile:

I believe i joined in end of 2000 or early 2001…
Was a completly different forum back then, and the chatroom was just started.

I know I was participating in the forum in 2000, but I think I first found this site in 1999. I used the “come.to/lucid” URL, and then the forum was hosted on Network54 and called “Through the mirror” :smile:

Am i wrong in saying that it says the date we joined under our names which is under our avatars? :eh:

yep i guess so, unless you joined back when it was through the mirror, which i believe was run by a different forum engine

sorry what i meant was that this forum was once run by another engine, like this one is run by phpBB. there was a forum like this one, although it was text-based, run on another server, and there are members here that were members of the board before this one. but because this was the ‘new’ board, their join dates were the same day the forum was created, and not their join date of the original forum.

The date’s under our avatars are not accurate representations of when we first became members. The forum has had several “face lifts” over the years. :smile:

This Phpbb forum software was installed in 2002 … before then we used Ikonboard, Yabba, and Network54.com as software for our forum. The join dates did not carry over … and neither did many many post … but we are working on restoring some of that old history :wink:

Not really for most members i guess… But for me it is not correct, due to that i joined before this forum was created. I think it has gone through atleast 3 completly different forums during the time i was a member here.

My joined date is the actual date I first found ld4all. Since I joined right away on 10 August 2003, I have been here 1 year 5 months. I’m still a newbie when compared to DreamAddict :tongue:

I was reading over the archive, and I left a post in September 2000 that said

which is strange, because at the very end of 1999 I had started a job where I was online for 8 hours a day. I was so sure I had spent time there on “through the mirror.” I had quit that job before September 2000! :bored:

oh well, I’m here now :smile:
but I guess my true join date is 2000
