Just a few ideas about dreams and their dreamers

I’ve been thinking about LDing and how it involves your mind lately and I have a few ideas involving suggestion and getting your mind over certain humps such as not being able to fly higher or faster. Forgive me if these things have been covered already… Delete the post if needed.

1st. I see a lot of times people have trouble convincing their minds to change things in their dreams. I was thinking… if instead saying outloud or to yourself “blow up that wall” or “give me wings!” Would it possibly be more effective to ask yourself. so it would be more like “Stephan, give me wings” or “Stephan, blow up that brick wall!” Maybe your mind would recognize it better if you identify who you’re trying to communicate with.

2nd. I was also thinking about dream stabilization. DCs are pretty much a portion of your subconscious asigned to a body. Our minds create this people with a certain part of it’s self as the foundation, and then builds its exterior based on it’s traits. (this is only my opinion btw. I’m not sure if that’s the case but i feel like it would make sense.) For instance, the nerdy DC, would be the nerdy side of your subconscious isolated into one body. The slutty girl might by your lustful side of your subconscious… etc. So if DCs are a part of your mind and you were to inform all or a lot at least, of the DC’s that they are dreaming. Wouldn’t your mind then have a greater idea that it’s in a dream world. Thus, hightening your lucidity, senses, abilities, etc. The more your mind is aware, the better right?

3rd. I was thinking about how people question just how vivid LDs can be. Alot of people say that they can be just as realistic as WL, whereas, a lot of people aren’t sure that it can be. I was thinking… okay. This one is going to be harder to explain. But basically, our eyes are an input device. They take some sort of information, send it to the brain, and our brain makes what it wants of it. For instance, we look at a tree. Our eyes send a code to the brain and the brain says that’s a tree. It’s leaves are green, and the bark is notched in this distinct pattern. Oh and it’s brown. Now, when we dream. We don’t use our eyes, but we use what a lot like to call our “third eye.” In other word we use our imagination as an input for information in our dream world. I think that our imaginations are just as powerful as our sight. Look at artists. There are people who can imagine a whole crowd, including their expressions, objects their holding, color of their hair, and every other fine detail. Because of this i believe that our dream world can be just as vivid and realistic as our real world. It just depends on who you are and how conditioned your imagination is. I’m sure people who are artistic have more realistic dreams than people who can only draw down stick figures.

That’s all i got for thoughts for now. What do you guys think??

Also, just to add to the topic. I find that the harder I work on doing techniques like WILD or MILD, the harder it is for me to wake up and remember the dreams i’ve had. Does that happen to anyone else?
