Keep Missing Obvious Dream Signs!!

The past few nights have been so frustrating! It’s been a few months since I last had a LD. I used to be a frequent LDer, but then I stopped trying for almost 2 years (I’m not sure why, I just lost motivation) so I only got LD’s at random every few months. I’ve been starting to get back into it lately, but so far no LD’s. Then again, it’s only been 2 weeks of starting up again. :meh:

Anyways, for the last three nights I ALMOST had LD’s. The first night I dreamed that I looked at my arm and realized that I no longer had a cast (I fractured my wrist last week). I freaked out and asked a random DC what happened to it, and they told me that since I was dreaming I didn’t need one. I said “ooooooooohhhhhhh” and then just continued the dream. I can’t believe I didn’t clue in!

The next 2 nights, I did RC’s in my dreams but then completely ignored the results. It was so incredibly aggravating to wake up knowing that I could have had a LD if only I noticed the RC’s.

Is there anything I can do to stop myself from missing these obvious signs?

While doing an RC, think to yourself, “am I dreaming?” and mebbe you will realize you are dreaming.

Wow that really was an obvious one i dont know what to tell you about the DR but about the rc, may be you did one without thinking truly about it. May you have lost some of your self questioning because of your break. You should probably start doing rc during the day and really think about it when you do it.
Hope you wont miss these kind next time and good luck.

Yes, when doing RCs, you really have to question yourself if you are dreaming. Otherwise doing RCs becomes a routine which is also manifested in dreams as such.

So, try being really serious when questioning reality.

One of the main problems with DILD’s is if you go to sleep when you are very tired, your mind shuts down alot better than if you were slightly more awake, which is why you just go along with whatever is happening, because the logical part of your mind is alot more successfully shut down, try going to bed a bit earlier for a week and let us know if it helps  thanks.

Yea I just came out of the same sittuation missing dream signs. Try binaural beats 7hz, the binaural beats that repeat things such as ,’’ Am I dreaming. Is this a dream.", and getting a lot of sleep (all found on youtube). Asking yourself throughout the day helps too. Keep that up and you should be back to normal.

Well, I’m having the same problem… I’m constantly missing those signs and not becoming lucid. I think that’s why DILD is somewhat harder to me then WILD. WILD is very easy in the sense. Now you are in bed and next second you are in a dream and that’s it. No problems with realization.

For DS and DILD to work we should really train and develop our mnemonic memory. That the true power of MILD technique, not just RC or mantra… Mnemonic memory plays the true role here.

Make some research on that and I would suggest to start doing on it. I will too in closer future… :content:
