Almost every dream I have that I’m me (not in someone else’s body), I know I’m dreaming, but I can’t control it. Just last night I had a dream and I knew I was dreaming while I was dreaming, I could feel when I held on to someone, I could feel the shoes I was wearing, I could think of a plan to escape the place, but I couldn’t really control it. I mean, it felt more like a dream than reality (isn’t a lucid dream supposed to feel like reality?). Would this be considered a lucid dream, just not a real vivid one, or what? Anyway, I just started getting back into the :remember your dream" thing, so I don’t really think it was lucid…
If a lucid dream were just like reality, then you’d never know you were dreaming.
Yes, you were lucid. What were you trying to control, and why?
People talk a lot about “controlling their dreams,” but when push comes to shove, they can’t back that up.
Maybe it was a false LD. I had some lately. I “know” that I’m dreaming ( at least i say so) and do stuff like flying and phasing through walls but I’m not really lucid, it’s just like a normal dream, watching myself do stuff and not actually doing them.
It’s very simple. If you know you’re dreaming, then you’re lucid.
There are varying degrees of lucidity, but that’s the what a lucid dream is.
I think its coming soonly, its was same feeling for me last night.
Maybe you became lucid, but the lucidity was gone quick. Then you gone back to the state of a ND, where you just gone in the flow of the dream. It’s really annoying.
Sometimes when I wake up, it’s like, “I knew it wasn’t RL, but I wasn’t lucid!!!” You were either semi-lucid or just had a very vivid dream. I personally think it was just very vivid, unless you said, “I’m dreaming!” out loud. Most of my dreams I have that “am I dreaming?” thought in the back of my head, but if I don’t say it out loud, I don’t get lucid…
