I’ve gotten fairly decent at becoming lucid, usually by WBTB or false awakenings, but a lot of times, my dream eyes just don’t seem to work properly. Sometimes I can’t see at all, other times it’s really dark or blurry. This morning, I had several false awakenings in a row, but in each of them, one of my dream eyes was completely closed and I couldn’t open it.
I’ve tried the hand rubbing, wishing for the vision to become better, and trying to manually open my eyes, but nothing seems to work. All my other senses (taste, touch, hearing) work OK, just my vision is messed up
You could possibly try spinning to teleport, and expecting to be able to see when you have moved. Although the spinning method can have side effects like, false awakenings, or actually waking up.
i have that too … a few hints which work atleast to a certain degree :
look at your hands (dont fixate to much because that could lead to you waking up) wave them in front of you
LOOK at the FLOOR … this is very much encouraged by all the books i read …
What you can do: Maybe just try to enjoy your other senses for a while. After all, we do not pay too much attention to them in WL, do we? Usually I just try to stay in the dream world, “keeping in touch”, and eventually vision will return.
Don’t focus on details too much if your vision fades. Instead, pay attention to the scene as a whole. Things you do not pay attention to tend to disappear in a dream.
I’ve also had some success with shouting things like “improve vision” or “sharpen”.
When I felt my vision started dimmering and flashing between black void and the dreamworld, I ran and took hold to a chair, and really paid attention to what I feel.
That helped a lot.
I also agree with Ionflux. Mostly when I concrentate too much something changes or something else happens. Usually when I’m in a dream, I tend to go with the flow. I tend to focus on things that matter. I am not amazed to see my house, because I see it everyday. Instead, I am amazed to many other things that I don’t see everyday.
