ld and depression

hello all!

i am trying to have a ld for two weeks now and that is why i am reading all about it i can find…

so i came across this page

geocities.com/alex_sumner/lucid2.htm#Step1

and on that page it is written that REM sleep is lowering your serotonim level and that the lack of serotonim can cause depression so i wonder have you skilled lucid dreamers had any problems with that?

REM sleep occurs even if you don’t have a lucid dream. Every human being has REM during a normal nights sleep.

REM is when we dream, and by having lucid dreams, that amount of REM is not increasing, we are just making some use of it.

also it lowers your serotonine level, because your brain is active (the neurotransmitters it produces are used (depleted))
If your are lucid or not does not matter, because in rem sleep the brain is active no matter what.

From experience I know that depressions don’t affect LD’s or vice versa, well, just the things you dream about I suppose.
