MY first LD went very well, I was able to a wide variety of things that people can take a long time to achieve, like making things appear for example. I was just curious about not only the way others were able to expirience their first lucid dreams worth talking about but also if it the person or the attitude in which they approached it, for example I knew I could do anything, thus I did everything. Or: I knew it would be limited, so I didn’t try. (I did the first one in case there is any confusion)
It’s quite true, if you don’t think you can do something, or feel like you’re gonna have trouble, then you will. Since dreams take place in the mind, your attitude has everything to do with it, as you stated.
My quest for lucidity has been (or rather is) a somewhat frustrating one. So when I finally did get a lucid dream I was like; “I’m gonna fly now… ****'em all.” And I immediately did, by pure willpower.
I agree that this is very important. Not being pissed but having a strong will and a strong belief that it will all work.
in my first LD nothing went the way i wanted it to because i was too skeptical even though i was in my own world.
Well, my first LD technically only lasted a few seconds, so I’ll go with my second one .
I couldn’t bring myself to believe that I could fly, and had a lot of issues with it. I would try jumping and just ended up bouncing really high. It took me a while to finally get myself to believe that I could do anything. After I successfully flew for the first time, it got much easier with subsequent attempts.
Congrats on an awesome first LD!
I’ve had a couple LDs so far, but I haven’t been able to manipulate that much. I can conjure small items and glide slowly. Managed to get pyrokinesis once, too. It really all boils down to confidence, I think. You have to believe it will work, and if it doesn’t, then believe it did.
