I have found that making goals in anything, helps you stay focused and motivated 
. That’s what i’m going to do. My LD goal is to have 200 total by Jan 1 2009(gives me one year). That means i’ll have to have 100 
this year(about 2 a week). But I’m very good at mild and i can have one practically every night if i want to 
. Give yourself a reward of you make your goal. Not sure what mine is 
. You should post a LD goal.
This thread seems perfect for New Year and stuff, i would suggest a mod to change it to New Goals for the New year or something similar.
Like the guy from Lucidipedia said, you don’t gain much by simply wishing to ld;
you have to have some kind of goal, so i suggest you a goal when you become lucid;

-Meet my dreamtopia
ETC

Hmm… My goal is to have at least one a month. That sounds feasible.
Mine is going to be one every other week.
My primary goal is to have at least one LD a week. That actually feels possible now, just saying it aloud. 
My LD goals are many, but first I really want to just remain lucid long enough to take a good stroll through whatever dreamscape my SC gives me. Finding my dream girl is a close second - like Goal #1.5…

and to write a book of subreal sarcastic poems…because i found out its very easy in lucid dreams…even playing an instrument…i don t know how to play any instrument but when i tried to play the guitar i was playing it paco de lucia stile(although i listen tool melvins tomahawk ufommamut rammstein…)
and the melodies were so harmonic and beutiful that i felt strangely happy
to bad i didn t take an electric guitar 
i cant think of anything more but generally i would like to get knowlage and improve my consciousness…
and gain the ability to make short but meaningfull sentences that everybody can understand…and solve complex problems in them like nikola tesla

-Definatley face all of my fears
-Meet my dream girl, meaning the girl my sub has created to my preferences.
-Raid a castle xD
-Explore my world
-Use my dream state as a form of martial arts practice
Other than these, I am having a bit of trouble finding other big things to do. Maybe master some elements…
Have complete control of my dreams without the faintist loss of lucidity
