Hello everybody. I have just waken up after an unsuccessful WILD attempt.
I get to the part where I see intense bursts of colors when I close my eyes, but then I start to think about what could happen when and if I enter the Lucid Dreaming stage. So, I have a few questions to ask.
When you are in a Lucid Dreaming stage, when you look at a clock, do the random time changes, or random symbol appearances startle, or frighten you?
Let’s say that when I was doing WILD, I started to think about guns. If I entered the LD stage, would my dream involve guns, or anything that I was thinking about in WILD?
When you are in the LD stage, is there any way to stop the dream? Or are you trapped in it until your body wakes you up?
1. When you are in a Lucid Dreaming stage, when you look at a clock, do the random time changes, or random symbol appearances startle, or frighten you?
I usually do other RCs like the hand one and nose, but they’ve never scared me. It’s more of a “WOW!” feeling really.

Same answer as HatedGremlin. You should already have a scene in WILD and not have to think as much.
3. When you are in the LD stage, is there any way to stop the dream? Or are you trapped in it until your body wakes you up?
It’s your dream, do as you wish. You can wake up whenever you want, though I have no idea why you’d want to.

Not really. Time changes at random, but usually what happens is that the clocks are frozen.

I’m a big fan of autosuggestion, so I would say yes, the initial setting of your dream may have guns in it.
3. When you are in the LD stage, is there any way to stop the dream? Or are you trapped in it until your body wakes you up?
Usually if I decide to wake up, close my eyes or try to feel my real body, I end up waking up (or losing lucidity—and by the way, beware of FAs).
Clocks are commonly used as reality check. They often show random time. There is nothing frightening in this.
I would say, if you start to think about something, you won’t have any LD. The most probably, you won’t fall asleep or you’ll fall asleep without realizing it. If you want to incubate a specific LD, you have to visualize it again and again.
I don’t know how it works when you practice WILD. If it’s like DILD, the most difficult is not to wake up, or not to lose lucidity and enter a normal dream.
I haven’t had random things happen at all in my lucid dreams (well, aside from the usual). Actually, they’ve been very consistent, I think. I haven’t seen any clocks in them, either, so I wouldn’t know about the clocks, but I don’t see why they would be frightening. They’re only clocks, after all.
Absolutely no idea, but it makes sense that they might. It seems logical.
Definitely. It’s very easy to wake up - personally, it’s exactly the same for me as it is with my normal dreams. I don’t know how to explain it, but all there is to it is just, well, waking up. It’s one of those things you just do, and can’t really explain.

~ It depends. If I am having a normal dream and I see weird random symbols, I think the device is malfunctioning, then I become suspicious.

~ You could incubate a dream where guns are involved if you really think about it.

~ Most people find it difficult to stay in a lucid dream
WILD… Never had a successful one before. IMO, I would like to have lucid dreams “naturally”, just by setting my mind to it!
Anyway, LD is fun, any odd stuffs are are nver in my experience frightening, unless ur in a nightmare. My habitual RC is the clock thing and so far, I realise that the digits cannot be seen clearly enough, or they are not even digits! more like part of a digit.
From experience, the thing that you dream off is the last thing you think of before you start dreaming, or fall asleep. (used to choose my dreams that way, but now with LD, dont need to) So I guess that’s true for WILD too. Especially since people have reported that what you think during WILD will appear right in front of you.
Trust me you wont wanna get up during ur LD for any reason!
But if you do, just do the opposite of trying to stay in the LD.
E.g. instead of observing, hearing, smelling, and stimulating ur senses, shut ur eyes and let ur mind go blank. That oughta do da trick!
Sometimes numbers appear in my dream clocks, but most of the time, they’re just crazy symbols. Not once have I ever been frightened, infact, its exciting, because I think ‘oh boy! I’m dreaming!’ and then I go have some fun.
I’ve never tried WILD, so I wouldn’t know. Sorry.
I’ve never had the need to wake up during a lucid dream. I spend all the time I can in it, because I don’t get them very often. But I hear that if you get too excited when you realize you’re dreaming, you can wake yourself up. However, that’s never happened to me.

In my non WILD dreams I seldom become lucid due to dream signs. I just feel that I am dreaming. After that I have never experience fear. Quite the opposite I feel exhilarated.
2. Let’s say that when I was doing WILD, I started to think about guns. If I entered the LD stage, would my dream involve guns, or anything that I was thinking about in WILD?
The majority of the time that I WILD I find myself in a dream version of my bed room. If I am focusing on HI I may find myself in the scene I was observing. My guess is that if you were thinking about something (anything) too much your WILD attempt would fail. So I would say no your dream would not involve guns. However you may fall asleep and incubate a dream about guns.
3. When you are in the LD stage, is there any way to stop the dream? Or are you trapped in it until your body wakes you up?
You can wake yourself easily by closing your eyes for a few seconds then opening them again. (I discovered this by accident) Trust me this is not something you are going to want to do. No matter how long a lucid dream lasts they never last long enough.
