I’ve just come back from a holiday for a fortnight. Before I went I struggled to have an LD every month on average, but while I was on holiday I had 8 LD’s in two weeks!
I worked out I must have been doing something different to when I’m at home, so I’ve made the Long Light Sleep or LLS method.
During the day do a lot of exercise (I swam in the sea and played football on the beach). Have your dinner late in the evening, only 2 or 3 hours before you go to bed. With it have some alcohol - not enough to feel drunk, but enough to feel the effects (I had half a pint of beer and 2 or 3 glasses of wine). Only go to bed when you feel exhausted, and have a mug of hot chocolate before you go. Read in bed for 15 or so minutes until your eyes feel really heavy. Go to bed. Sleep in a room with light curtains, if this isn’t possible open your curtains a bit. Sleep as late as you can.
I don’t think you should do any other LD induction things that night.
Why I think it works (correct me if I’m wrong):
The exercise, alcohol, hot chocolate, reading and going to bed late make you drowsy. Because of this you go straight into a deep sleep where you have less REM sleep. When dawn comes the light makes your sleep lighter, so you have concentrated REM sleep. Also the drinks and light sleep make you get up to go to the toilet, so it has a small wb2b effect.
Hope this works with you!
