Ok so last night I fell asleep and woke up at 3:00 in the morning. I fell back to sleep and my dream was: I was having a lucid dream in my dream. I woke up (In the dream) and then I woke up in real life! I thought that I just had a lucid dream but I put the peices together and I didn’t. So what I want to know is: Is this a rare occurence? I was having a lucid dream in a dream. I find it really freaky. Do you?
Yes! I’ve had those a few times… They’re called FLD’s. You say things like “hey, I’m dreaming!” and can do anything you want, but you aren’t actually lucid. There is no actual moment where you gain consciousness ad actually think and understand the fact that you are dreaming…
They confuse me all the time. Just the other day I had one and I started writing it down in my DJ, calling it a LD. Then I realized it was a FLD, because I was doing some “random” things that I don’t think I would have done in a real LD… But, even so, they can be very cool! They are usually more vivid than ND’s, for me at least. And, as FA’s, they mean you are getting close to lucidity.
i’ve had a weird one of these. I’ve never successfully WILDed in real life but once i was dreaming and i attempted to WILD. i didnt know i was dreaming, i just thought i might as well try WILD. The WILD began working within seconds, and much more than anything i have experience in real life. The WILD worked and i was in a lucid dream within my regular dream. Eventually i woke from the lucid straight into reality
Well I just had something like that this morning. Actually I’m not 100% sure it was a dream… Oh well, what happened was that it felt like my dream body was being pulled into a dream from my real body. This strange feeling made me lucid. I helped pull free of my real body. I opened my eyes, and I was in a dream! This definitely wasn’t a FLD though, I knew I was dreaming. At one point I even questioned whether it was truly a dream.
Nah, its not freaky! It’s dreamland! rules do not apply (only the ones you create do) So I think it’s awesome. The sooner you realize this the easier it will be to enjoy your dreams. Things happen!
I had a dream that I was lucid dreaming; meaning I was doing what I wanted but it was spontaneously, without that extra awareness.
I had one dream within a dream, where I was in a dojo and the instructor kept speaking of illusions. We found ourselves infront of a lake under a full moon. I became lucid upon realizing I wasn’t getting wet when I touched water. As soon as the “illusion” vanished I was back in the dojang and back to the old dream, not lucid.
I have had a dream or two when I wake up in the dream, then IRL, it happens! My friend dreamt of falling off a cliff when she really fell of her bunkbed; anything can happen!
I know just what you are talking about. I used to have them quite commonly when i first started to seriously get into lucid dreaming. I used to ‘wake up’ from the lucid dream into the normal dream of a FA when the lucid dream became too intense or i was ready to wake up…
The best one of these i have had has been 6 levels deep where the deepest level was a lucid nightmare very strange indeed and very complex to write upon waking
This morning i woke up (at least i thought explain later) and i decided to try and re-enter my dream but this time lucid. A few seconds later, if that, i found myself in my back garden, i didn’t know what was going on for a while (if i was lucid or not) so i tried to fly and i could so i thought it must be a dream, but i felt as if i wasn’t lucid even though i knew it was because of how incredibly vivid and life like this lucid was, i was struggling to come to terms with the fact that i was dreaming. (i also had this strange feeling like i have never had in a lucid before) After a short while i realized i must be dreaming with the help of some reality checks, then i decided to fly around for a bit (it is very cold) then i landed and i picked up some snow which felt as real as real, then shortly after i woke up due to music next door!!!
I tried to re-enter and once again almost instantly i am back in the dream (amazed how easy it is) and this process repeated itself about 6 more times! but i kept waking up because of that damn music!!! To the final lucid i (still in the same dream) i just wandered around my area for a bit until i decided i wanted to summon a celebrity (not good at summoning at all) and there she was at the bottom of my street. I don’t get excited cause i know i will wake up so i head towards her and just as i am in touching distance the dream fades!!! but this time i can’t re-enter because this time i am really awake.
Explained
When i woke up from the last lucid i had a different feeling. I realized that every time i re-entered my dream i was actually dreaming so they were all lucid dreams in a lucid dream
I had a dream that i woke up in which i thought i was actually awake (false awakening) so i tried to re-enter the dream i had just had in reality which i successfully done very easily, i was wondering how it was so easy to achieve and it explains why i was having such a hard time accepting it was a dream and had a strange feeling like never before in a lucid, because it was in fact a double lucid dream!? (a lucid in a lucid)
They certainly don’t lack realism, that was one of the most vivid, realistic lucid dreams i have ever had. (i should go for these more often) This could have been the greatest night of lucid dreaming ever if it wasn’t for that damn music which awoke me from each lucid
Like to hear your replies and if anyone has had a lucid night as crazy and confusing as this i would like to hear it. Oh and soz for the huge post.
Not at all. I once had a dream of me having a LD of me having a ND, getting mad about it, and going on this forum to tell everyone about it. Then I woke up.
whoa…
