This is a question for any lucid dreamer out there:
When you update your LD score on your account, what does it take for an LD to make it into the count? Is it any time in which you become lucid or is just when you can stabilize and explore a dream? Is there a certain time limit you have?
Personally, I’ve become lucid many times, but I only count the LD’s that last a significant time and in which I can explore/experiment with different ideas, objects, or characters.
I’m just curious as to what you all think, so feel free to respond.
hello A couple of days ago I had my first induced lucid dream, although it wasnt much of a dream, and therefore i will not count it. I think for me to count a lucid , i have to complete some task, or something interesting/memorable must happen. For me, simply realizing i am dreaming and having the dream fade immediately after doesnt make the cut.
It really depends on what you thought of your lucid dream and whether you were satisfied. Technically, a lucid dream is anytime you know you’re dreaming. So, it really depends on if you want to count it or not.
Well the way I see it, becoming lucid does not necessarily mean you had a lucid dream, like you said.
I think a LD would qualify as one when you become lucid in the dream (obviously), and get to take control of it to your desire, doesn’t matter how long it lasts, but if you successfully manage to create something you wish to create inside your dream, then I think it qualifies!
But I’m sure many others have different points of views to this!
In one dream (I count it as one, although it was three seperate dreams) I became lucid three times during three FAs with the sole intention of waking up for real. I didn’t do anything productive. However, I counted it because it’s a step in the right direction and I was lucid.
Pretty much any dream in which I am lucid for more than just a second or two I’ll put in my count. Even if I’ve had little to no vision and the whole thing is struggle just to stay in the dream, it’s an LD to me.
But really, the only time I count it is if it feels like an LD to me. That’s it, plain and simple.
