I have noticed that regularly when I am lucid, my consciousness is different than waking state.
My initial belief was that in a lucid dream I would be awake in a dream. This may be the ideal for highest lucidity, but after almost 90 LDs, I see that when I am in a lucid dream, my consciousness is different in the following ways:
-I am happier (I thought this might be due to initial excitement about being lucid, but quality has persisted).
-I am in more of a hurry (maybe related to fear of waking up, but definitely seem more impulsive in LDs)
-Memory is poor (sometimes forget I am dreaming, often forget dream tasks)
-More emotional (e.g. fear, anger, other feelings are more intense)
-If there are other DC’s I become less intelligent, and often feel compelled to tell them that this is a dream.
What have you noticed?
-When i become lucid, i still the world i am in very seriously, as if it were real. This is weird since youd think id know its just a dream and not have to worry about anything.
-Ya im always really happy in mine too.
-My mind always seems (cant really explain it) smaller. I can think of less things and its really hard to stay on the same subject for more than a couple seconds.
-Im always telling everyone i see about how im having and ld (in the dream)
-yep. always in a rush
-i just realized in all of my lds i have never seen or thought about food. (thats probably not worthy of noting).
-I never wake up out of them. I usually finsih the dream and then end up in another dream (nonlucid) and wake from that.
i have had different levels of lucidity, each in different levels of consciousness. typically in a LD where i have completely lucidity the world quickly falls apart, almost as if its being sandblasted away and crumbling at the same time. sometimes i can hang on to it for a while, but i either wake up or it fades into a regular dream, or a lesser lucid dream.
one LD that had a range of levels but was very long.
-i started off with the sudden realization the world was unstable, felts very fluid.
- i managed to remember that i wanted to meat my dream guide so i asked him to inhabit the for of one of my friends.
- i couldnt remember what i wanted to do besides that.
- i walked the school doing the usual putsing. somewhat idle minded… the usual…
- then i forgot that i was dreaming and whent to cass… drrrrr
-the one of my dream characters reminded me i was dreaming. in a very direct manner. my teacher said “you are excused from class, go enjoy the res of your lucid dream” bizzare O_o… dream guide?
- after some more putsing i woke up…
best example i can come up with!
I also rush things, I think it’s a mix between being in dream mode, that is, always moving and because I know I’m gonna be dreaming for a limited time only and I want to really DO something, QUICK!!! I never know what though. I never have a destination.
I did stop in one, to look around, and my consciousness expanded. I guess I out to do it every time I LD but I have the idea that being too idle will make me wake up. I guess that factors into the constant moving.
