Lucid False Awakening? First try

Hey everyone,

Last night I stumbled upon some Lucidity websites and read tons of information about LD’s, RC’s and all that good stuff. I had never tried it before, but I have always had the knack of taking control of every nightmare I have, and almost always end up destroying the enemy, or realizing it wasnt real and laughing at it, so I figured I might have some natural ability. When I went to sleep, I spent some time forcusing on visualizing LD’s, and I put on a wristband thinking maybe it would come in handy in the realization of a dream. I remember bits and peices of like 3-4 draams last night.
I woke up several times over the course of the night, and every time the first thing i checked was the digital clock to see if I was awake. During two of my dreams, I noticed something made me realize I must be dreaming, but woke up immediately both times, the next occurance is the one that most confused me.
I woke up…or thought I did, and checked the clock, but the time was all messed up, and every time I looked away, then back at the clock it changed. There was like 3 different times it seemed to rotate between, but all distinct from one another. At this point I realized, or thought I did, that I must be having a Lucid Dream. I walked around the room with a great feeling and sensation of knowing that I was asleep in my pyscical body, but active nonetheless. It was so shocking and unexpected that I checked the clock for what seemed like 5 full minutes, and it changed 90% of the time. I clearly remembered everything I had read from the internet, and kept repeating that everything I saw was a dream, but I was also dissapointed because my Lucid Dream was during a False Awakening (is that usual?) … Anyways, my first thought was how I would love to slam this certain hot girl, and I sat on my bed starin at the door saying something to the effect of ‘ok come on now, come here, its my dream and I want you to come here’ but nothing happened. Then I gave up on that, figuring I was stuck in this enviroment of my bedroom, I picked up my phone but seemed to talk myself out of trying to call her I cant remember why. Since I was stuck in my room I decided I would try to fly, first trying levatating, then jumping in the air and flying, but neither worked. At this point I was so confused and frustrated I started wondering if I was having a Lucid dream or just in a half conscious, sleepwalking state. I kept checking the clock and it kept changing tho… at this point I decided to see if I could feel pain, so i started elbowing my bedroom wall, the contact of my arm vs the wall made noise, but I didnt feel anything, finally I checked my wrist and noticed i was wearing the wristband and convinced myself I was awake, and went back to sleep immediately. When I woke up this morning however I was about 95% sure I must have been dreaming due to the alarm clock, and the fact my two dogs never appeared during this awakening, even though they sleep in my room and surely would have been all over me if I was jumping around.
I really dont know what to think of this all… considering it was my first attempt and everything I’d say I was very sucessful in coming to the realizations and stuff. But was that one event a lucid dream, false awakening, or both? And was there anything I could have done to make anything interesting happen at that point when I knew i was dreaming, but stuck in my boring room? Any thoughts at all would be appreciated. Thanks all

Uhg that makes me angry, it bothers me when people are naturals…

oh well i guess i will get one someday, good job though, keep it up!!!

Congratulations on your first LD.

Yes, you can have a lucid dream from a false awakenings.

Dream control and summoning people takes some practice but, you can improve in this quickly. Next time you want someone to appear try to be creative. Like tell your self that the person you want will be standing behind this door. Go up to the door and open it. Try to really expect the person to be there. Eventually you will be able to summon people out of thin air or even transform DC around you into different people. Your dream will cooperate with you if you really expect the dream to do as you say. Remember you are the boss there.

Flying in doors. I had a problem with this at first to. I could fly very well outside but, when ever I tried to fly inside I always failed and would have to walk all the way out side to fly. Then I started to take short cuts by going through a wall. What you have to realize is that even though you are dreaming and you know it. Sometimes you bring your waking world expectations with you into the dream. In time you will learn to let go of these expectations. I can now fly wherever I choose.

Good luck and happy dreaming.
