Lucidity and pain - Is this normal?

I recently began experimenting with lucidity and have attempted to become lucid on many occasions to no avail. Last night, I got into a strange state of being with SbaGen assisting me, and when I concentrated on a scene in my minds eye, I would warp into it for a few seconds then suddenly would be pulled back to reality. I was unable to stay for long, sadly. More problematic, though, is the fact that when I try WILD (at least a variant) and I relax my entire body through progressive relaxation. Eventually, I start to experience a tingling sensation over my whole body, my muscles feel tense and my body aches like crazy! I want to continue, but am unable to further relax I am jolted into almost complete wakefulness by the searing pain. Once fully conscious again, the pain slowly subsides after I stretch and then relax again. Is this normal? Is there anything I can do to continue past this? Thanks.

It doesn’t sound normal as far as I know, but your title is very misleading.

The are other ways to have lucid dreams rather then through the wake induced method if you wish.

maybe it was a HH also, or a cramp because you relaxed in a wrong way… i dont know…
