Men vs. Women LD'ing

Is it conclusive that men are more prone to interest in lucid dreaming than per se women? I noticed that many more men post on this forum than women. But then again, the almighty creator is a woman herself.

The only other dreamer I know on a personal level is a girl. I’ve never met a guy dreamer, other than the forums here. I’m not sure if its true, I wouldn’t think it to be. I would bet it would be close to even, but what do I know.

I think you just proved your own point there.

Also bear in mind there are more men generally on the internet. Despite the few women here, there is still a greater proportion than some of the forums I visit, which literally are ALL men.

Perhaps the difference doesn’t even have to do with lucid dreaming at all? It could just be that males are more interested in becoming members of internet forums than females, but that’s just another theory. You would have to take a look at all forums across the board to if it’s true. There’s also another odd thing about forums that I’ve noticed. If you can’t see a displayed gender, I always have a tendency to assume that person is male, unless something in their username suggests otherwise. For some reason, I think I may not be the only person who subconsciously does this.

Yeah, you’d have to cut all the bais’s out, it is true that more men join forums.

I think those who hide their gender are probably male too, we are more ashamed of our gender than women.

Men have a bigger amount of ugly people, therefore there are more men that have nothing else to do but spending their day on the internet.

Oh and Internet > LD > RL.

J/k.

Not.

This forum is different then most.

I don’t think you can conclude anything on just one forum. Even if it is true that men join forums more, that wouldn’t mean women aren’t interested in LDing. Forums aren’t the only places people can find out about LDs. But that’s just my opinion.

Ditto. I don’t know why, maybe because it seems like the majority of forum members are male. Anyway, as you said, I wouldn’t be surprised if others are guilty of doing the same thing.
