Sometimes when I think bout anything visually (like when I’m daydreaming) and wanna do something there it often happens that my mind independently does it differently as if I wanna follow a straight line it makes me turning right even if I try to go straight forward.
So I’m simply interested if thats anything todo with the level of dream control you have in a LD that you cant control your dream completely cause your mind does it differently.
This just has to do with contorl. I used to be the same way. Especially when i was imagining things moving. I would want to stop it and do something else, but my mind wouldnt let me stop until I thought of something else and forgot about that repetitious movement. Its taken me about a year to be able to fully control what I’m doing when I am imagining. You just kind of have to keep trying and willing yourself to imagine it a certain way. It really helps if you spend free time, such as sitting in a bus or boring class or whatever and spend that time imagining all the senses. When you can sit with your eyes closed or even open and can actually feel a sensation which you have created with your mind, then you are much closer to being able to control actions in your mind. This is what I did anyways, and it worked for me. I assume it helps with lucid dreaming as well, but I’m not entirely sure.
I never can imagine complicated movement. When I just close my eyes and think about something moving along some curved trajectory, it begins to go round repetitively, and it’s very difficult to make this imaginable object to return to its way.
