MILD didnt worked..

MILD has been the best tecknique for me for a few years. I used to wake up and repeat this after going back to sleep: “Its my intention to be conscious while dreamin, next time I dream I will remember that I,m dreaming”. It worked most of the times but sometimes happened like my last dream yesterday: I was in a dream telling a DC that it is my intention to be conscious while dreaming and that next time I dream I will realize it. Unfortunatly I didnt realize the moment to realize it, was right there.

So, the problem is that if I repeat to my self to be awake next time I dream, I´ll be saying the same thing while in a dream. I guess the “I,m dreaming, I,m dreaming” works best because its a present sentence. What do you think.?

We “cant” use future memmory because in a dream we dont realize that the future we were expecting is just what we are right now experiencing. If we say “next time I dream, etc”, then when we are dreaming we will think that we are awake and that dream time is still in the future.

My mind was just repeating during the dream time the senetnce, but never actually realize that I was dreaming.

Yeah that’s right, it’s the same with the dream journals, is better write in present so we recall more of it.

You can still affirm yourself to become lucid in your next dream, but by affirm I do not mean say (or think) an affirmation. What I mean is just talk to your self (talking to your subconscious and treating it like a person works better) and tell your self that the next time you are dreaming you really want to become aware that you are dreaming. It is important you say (or think) it with sincerity and not like a drone or subliminal message you might listen to. Really feel for it while you affirm it and think about WHY you want to do it. Be enthusiastic about it! It may sound silly to the average american, but the subconcious mind likes to be treated like humanity. You’ll find, with time, that the more friendlier you are to your subconcious it will be that much more friendlier to you! What I mean by this is it will purposely cause you to dream about stuff that you will remember through the course of the next day when you see or hear certain things. Have you ever heard someone say, “That reminds me of a dream I had”? If you have you are first hand witness to what I am talking about.

 Good luck with your future MILD attempts.
