MILD Problems

When milding I say “Today will be the day that I become aware that Im dreaming”. Ive been doing this for awhile and I havent had a lucid dream yet. Is there anything else I should be doing to help this whole process?

“Today will be the day that I…” altogether that sounds to me rather too long and convoluted. How about just “I will become aware that I am dreaming”?

Also, how good is your dream recall?

Well I can usually remember a dream every night I set my intention to remember them, and sometimes I can remember 2 dreams a night.

Just a thought but:

During the day:
=> Do frequent reality checks. If you determine that you are not dreaming then tell yourself “next time I am dreaming I will realize I am dreaming”

Take the RC seriously and stay consistent with them.

At night when you are going to sleep and with WBTB ( if you can)
=> repeat “I will recognize I am dreaming while dreaming” over several times to your self without other thoughts getting in the way. If you can keep repeating it as you fall asleep

(or similar phrase to that effect)

Try to write down evrything you remember about your dreams and really study them. Look for similarities between them, Are they in different locations or mostly the same one, Do they have a particular theme etc. Go through the dream in your head but imagine yourself becoming lucid in as much detail as possible. Think of all the things you would have done.

Ha yes, I completely agree. I think this may be one of the most neglected steps. Analyzing your dream afterward is very important. Even today I still write down what is different and the same about my dreams. I look for all of the dream signs and write them down. The way I do this is: in the morning I just write my dreams down in as much detail as possible. At night I read my dreams from the previous night and analyze them put the dream signs into categories etc. That is what works best for me.

My dreams always seem to have something to do with whatever I’m doing the next day, or that day.

If you can think of an RC for your specific situation (say you’re in a hall of mirrors, do an RC where you touch mirrors, for the dream, your hand will go through them, rather than on them).

Ah, there’s another thing to add to the list.
