I’m new here so I don’t know of there is a topic that’s the same category, but…
I’ve been trying for about two weeks now to remember my dreams. Normally I can’t remember any at all and so I think I’ve made good progress because I can remember 3-5 a night sometimes.
But I think I could be doing better. My mind wanders like crazy and I become easily distracted. When I’m in bed at night visualizing myself remembering a dream all of a sudden my mind will go to something else. Just completely unrelated and random topics.
It’s really frustrating and I want to try put a stop to it, can anything help me keep focused??
I have the same problem sometimes…
I find that if you don’t try so hard yes don’t try so hard
it happens easier…
Try this, when you go to bed at night, make sure you are sleepy or tired from activities during the day avoiding any stimulants such as nicotine or caffeine, they will make your mind do that more…
When you wake from a dream, concentrate on it if you don’t want to write it down… just think about the dream you had… when you think you’ve though enough… then you can go back to sleep.

Some meditation can help you focus but basically keep practising. If your notice your mind wanders just bring it back to your visualisation. Everyone get’s distracted and loses focus, it’s nothing to worry about.
Also dont try too hard. If you try too hard it will never happend just try to relax more and make sure you are tired. When i first heard about LD i was so extied that i went too sleep at five pm. Well just my advice.
