My attempts in MILD

I’m new with LD, my first attempt was ~1 month ago. I first tried to LD with WILD but always failed. 4 days ago I found the MILD so I wanted to try : I realised 2 times I was dreaming for the first time ! But on the first night, when I realised I was dreaming, my vision became blurred so I rub my hands but nothing happend and then I woke up (but I was still dreaming but didn’t realised…). On my second attempt, I said “Let’s see me in the mirror, so I will realise I’m dreaming” and then realised but I opened my eyes really strongly in order not to see blurry but that made me open my eyes IRL…

Why can’t I stay in a dream ?
Should I keep trying WILD ? (with WBTB + MILD + WILD)

Hi, welcome :wave:, and congratulations on your LD’s!

Don’t worry, it’s very common for those things to happen. I’ve been LD’ing for 4 years and that happens almost all the time :sad: Just practice and experiment and you’ll get it. Try to stay calm and use your senses.

I recommend you keep doing whatever you did to get these LD’s and you’ll get more!

Ok, yesterday, I saw that drink milk or eat chocolate, bananas… can help you to recall dreams, so I drank a glass of milk before going to sleep. I woke up around 5:30am for a WBTB + MILD + WILD this morning and couldn’t recall any dreams. I stayed up for 30min and went back to bed repeating “I will realise I am dreaming”. This morning I can recall 5 dreams and I realised I was dreaming in 2 of them but woke up immediately as well… :neutral:

That’s a bit frustrating but I don’t give up and I’ll try again tonight hoping that my first real LD is near. :content:

Yesterday night, I tried again WBTB + MILD + WILD. I also turned off my phone because it had no more battery. I went back to bed, didn’t success with the WILD technique so I just slept. I heard my phone ringing, but it was impossible because I turned it off, so I realised I was dreaming. The dream started to disappear again, but I touched my bed, rub my hand, and I was thinking about a peaceful place with my eyes closed, tried to feel the grass… and when I opened my eyes a TV appeared with the picture of this place on the screen. I got closer from the screen and suddenly I was in this place, but unfortunately, I think I lost lucidity.
But this LD wasn’t very vivid, was it because I was affraid he leaves ? Can it help if I say something like “lucidy x1000” ? :razz:

Every day I get closer from real, long and vivid LD, that’s so exciting ! :happy:
