My problem

I’m really good at LD( I started practicing when I was 12), I capable of imagining what I want my dream to be about and then, simply falling asleep, LD right away.

My problem is that I LD a lot for a certain amount of time and then, all of the sudden, I find myself unable to do so for a weeks, even months. It even happens that I cant recall my dreams (something I’m really good at it). In the end my ability returns and when it does so, I am fully in charge of it.

However I want it to stop. I would really appreciate some help in here.

Those times without dreaming are called dry spells, and unfortunately there isn’t any known 100% fix for them. Even the most successful lucid dreamers end up with them once in a while. The only things I can recommend are to keep a regular schedule of LD attempts and to eat lot of vitamin B6, which aids in the vividness of dreams. Sorry to say, but the only foolproof thing that will help is time.

What causes this?

Firstly, welcome to LD4all. I hope I can help.
You’re experiencing a dryspell, as Wyrmfell stated. There is a wealth of information on this link which I found on Dreamviews.

well i suppose u could ask a dream character to tell you ur dreaming before you leave that dream and see if he remebers

I don’t know if you’re open to the concept of astral projection or not, & I’m no master on the subject, but it sounds to me like these dry spells could be a result of putting too much demand on your energy body. This body is a network of energy pathways, and also is what “launches” the astral body out during a projection / LD. Perhaps exercising your energy body will enable it to handle the power demand for lucidity. You can exercize it simply by reproducing a tactile sensation without actually touching yourself. Brushing over your being with an imaginery paintbrush is a good technique. Feel the brush going over & slightly phasing through your skin. It doesn’t have to be a paintbrush, just as long as you feel the energy moving through you. You’ll know if your doing it right because the area you’re stimulating will tingle, & you may even feel the energy moving through.
Doing this should open your energy pathways, allowing a more efficient launch mechanism and, most likely, enhance the clarity & frequency of LD. Give em a try while falling asleep.

Then again, only a suggestion. If you don’t believe in any of this New Age mumbo-jumbo, then please just disregard. If you are interested, here are a few links with more in-depth info:
