As I said on other topic, I have some trouble getting LD. Nevertheless, tonight I was able to achieve SP. Right after getting paralysed, I could see a bright light with my eyes closed. I knew that it was just some kind of hypnagogic hallucination, but I got scared. My irrational mind - so strong when sleep comes - started to think silly things like “Its my hour to leave this life, thats why I am seeing this light”. So I got scared, I could feel also some kind of presence, and I decided to stop my SP and awake. Thats what I did. The possibility to get a LD was a failure. 
This is not a topic to ask how to deal with such stuff. Its just me sharing my experience.
In my teen years SP was something regular (and always very scary, with near-obes that I would stop to happen); I also had strange or highly scary hallucinations. I remember one day when, in the hypnagogic state, could hear very perfectly a disembodied voice, so real, talking to me very bad things (like calling me names, etc), whispering at my ear. That was a very *@%&- thing!
