My subconcious hates me...

Well, I had my first actual LD last night. Course, it was only 4sec long  . Actual, I came close to three. The first one I realized I was dreaming and a loud noise woke me up (ya, maybe not my subconcious, but I’ll get to that soon). Well, I woke up mad that I lost it so fast, but that’s okay, I was still sleepy and did a MILD… and it worked

Now, I was back to another LD but my mind made sure I didn’t have it for long; everything went all cartoonish and was gone. I “woke up” in my room too “tired” to do a RC… that’s when I really woke up. I was lucky enough to fall back into another ND. Now, something was up. Everyone had their name floating above their head. I was wondering wether I was in an LD or not when a DC walked up and distracted me. I believe his exact words were “excuse me, but can I distract you for a moment?” Oh how I dispise my dream self :grrr: .

As I get more LD’s, will I be able to overide my dream barriors, or will I be in a constant struggle with my non-real half?

you will learn how to control them better and it will get real the more you have. It just seems you were to excited and it woke you up. Don’t worry though your get another one in no time

Congrats on the LD though

It will be a constant struggle but it get easier.

Me too . This morning I was in a dream and my dream sign appeared. I could only move in slow motion.
And what did I do about it? I thought “That’s weird, I can only walk in slow motion, that happens very often in my dreams. But now I’m awake, that means I have this problem in real life too.
:ding:

Haha.

I agree with nightshade, things become much easier once you get into the groove of them.

Thanks for the encouragement guys. Last night i was blessed enough to do a DILD. I was moving a chair for someone and I thought something felt odd. I did an RC and my fingers went through my hands. Needless to say, I came to the general conclusion I was in a dream. :good:
This one lasted a few seconds longer, and I could think more clearly. I bet I would have stayed in if I hadn’t gotten so excited. When I started rubbing my hands to stabalize the dream I was too awake; my RL hands started rubbing together which woke me up more! Anyway, thanks again, and I’ll keep on trying.
