My subconcious keeping me from being lucid?

Last night I woke up from a dream that I was at my school 6 years ago and I was seeing all of my friends (I was in 4th grade) and I noticed when I woke up that I only slept for 2 hrs 34 minutes (Wrote it down. because I thought it would be relevant…) So anyways I remember the WBTB thing… so I get up spend about half hr cruising these forums and I go back to bed thinking “I will know that I am dreaming.” and I start having this one dream where im walking down the steps and my two brothers say “EH bro! Where’s ma!” But you see, the problem is , I only have a SISTER! but for some reason I didnt think anything of it. I then woke up saying I am dreaming! What just happened?
**also my “Brothers” looked a lot like my two cousins…

Ah, bad luck I guess. Next time you’ll hopefully realize that you’re dreaming.

Haha, my SC is worse. I actually almost had a WILD as my first LD, and I was on Google in it, but my stupid SC made one of those screamer videos from YouTube pop up and scare me awake. :scared:
Scared the crud out of me.

well just woke up, Not sure if i had an LD or not… I went through the sleep paralysis thing, then started hearing a lion roaring and seeing it just sitting there in the corner of my room (Continuous roar) I was staring at it (Still counintg to 1000) and it then turned out that I was hearing my air conditioner. I then see some sort of glowing amoebas i guess on my ceiling, I appear in this room and I can walk. I then realise I AM DREAMING!!! and I start thinking (When I imaging a box in front of me with a mirrorSomething simple to test it out it appears but inside, I find a mirror with no glass, just the frame, I look into it and I wake up…) but i’m still excited! Was i close?

dead on, baby. dead on.

COOL! but what caused me to wake up?

hmmmm. were you excited? i heard that does it sometimes. or maybe the seeing yourself in the mirror and waking up means you are uncomfortable with something about yourself. no offense meant with that! but don’t take my word for it, i’m only fourteen and never had a lucid dream. :content:

Possibly excitement. Or maybe you have a pseudo-condition like me where the moment I realize I’m dreaming, I start to wake up slowly. I’ve been able to slow the process down to about three minutes, but I never remember that it might be an FA, sometimes it is an FA and sometimes I actually wake up. Just remember that YOU have control over your dream and you can control when to wake up. Also remember to do an RC… stupid FA’s…

I wasnt really THAT excited because I knew if i was too excited i would wake up lol
