So I have been a very vivid dreamer since I can remember. Matter of fact I can vividly remember a dream I had when I was 2 years old. Some say I have a gift, because I have used my dreams to talk to my deceased loved ones and pass messages to family members. So dreaming is somthing I consider myself to be a Pro at. So heres a few tips.
The alarm trick:
Set your alarm earlier than you really want to wake up. You will wake up and hit snooze and maybe lie awake for a few moments but when you go back to sleep, you should enter a dream. This is how I have had some very lucid dreams.
This next one I don’t necessarily recommend unless you have a few days off from work or school but…
Oversleep:
This is similar to the alarm trick, but when you wake up fully rested, force yourself back to sleep. I find myself being perfectly between asleep and awake causing a very lucid dream. The only problem is ill end up sleeping waaaay too much and not being able to sleep the next night. what happens is I wake up from a dream and force myself back to sleep to re-enter the dream, Over and over until it is lucid. I end up wasting a whole day though on somthing that feels like it lasted a matter of seconds. Oversleeping made me get a headache and even angry because I wasted a day but for the sake of dreaming, it works.
Valerian root, melatonin, 5-htp:
These are herbal supplements that are sold at vitaminne shoppe, and are cheap. I have only used valerian root, but it gave me one of the most lucid dreams i have ever had. That was only the first night though. But hey if you got some extra money it might be worth a shot. I cant wait to try melatonin and 5-htp and will definently let you guys know if it works.
I have a question about the sleepover method. If you wake up, not because of your alarm, but because your body “says” you’ve rested enough. How do you fall asleep again? When i’m awake I just can’t fall back in to sleep. How do you do that?
Matter of habit, perhaps. If you stay long enough in bed and let yourself relax, it’s very possible you will fall asleep without notice and from there, it’s only a matter of time before you can do it with a little more awareness.
I fell asleep several times this morning; I had Snooze Mode on my cell-phone and actually managed to fall asleep before it rang and I did so several times.
Yet I never managed to get into a lucid dream.
I was partly lucid in one of them, because I actually paid attention to my surroundings more than usual, but no more than that.
