I have been trying to have a lucid dream for A year and a half now and i have not had ONE, Not even one lousy Lucid dream . I have tried WILD MILD PILD RILD VILD telling myself I will have an LD tonight over and over again all the relaxation Techniques Ive heared of Hypnosis Subliminal Messages You name it ive tried it and not ONE lucid dream im seriously going crazy trying to get it to work I have Motivation because if i ever have a lucid dream I know im going to love it and always want to have them ive made a DJ and Have a bunch of things planned for the dreams im going to have (made a year ago). So if anyone can PLEASE help me do so i need to have a lucid dream or im going to have a break Down
PS: ive tried giving up for a week twice just not even thinking about it… DIDNT work!
I can only give you advice on what has worked for me. My method is WILD . Since you have been trying so hard to do it , and im really really supprised that in 1 and a half year you havent had any success at all what so ever, I want you to try something. I would sujjest you do this on a weekend coz then you dont have to worry about school or work. Dont sleep for a day, or to be precise, dont sleep for 18 hourse.
So you wake up friday 9am, do whatever you want to do, then sleep Saturday 3 am. You will be immensily tired by this time. WILD is when you are concious while you slip into ur dream. So stay focused. i cannot even stress how important this is. STAY FOCUS!!. Tap ur fingers, count your breathing, visualize yourself walking down the stairs while counting each step. Becoz your mind so desperately wants you to go to bed, you should be feeling vibrations in your body. This can be strong or mild depending on the person. You WILL be frightened the first time. So dont worry. AFter this, it may be different. You may either slip into a SP, or experiance HI or hear sounds, or feel someone is in the room. This is all hallucination. IF you experiance HI, dont concentrate on them, rather just let them flow. They will form ur dream and you will find yourself in ur dream concious.

Try what Jaxal suggested, it might work! Also, as an alternative, have you ever seriously done WBTB + MILD (and doing it right, reading the tech from Laberge carefully!), for a decent period of time (let’s say, for a month or 2)? If not, you should, since this works for many people! Good luck .
All i can add to the posts above is… convince yourself you CAN have a lucid dream.
Having tried so long without any result has most likely made you believe that somehow you just can’t do it. You want to do it, but you aren’t exactly convinced it’s ever going to happen.
Changing that unconcious belief will likely increase your chances of having a LD. A positive mindset is really important!

I went to bed Quite early last night after i read for a half hour on Dreamsigns from a book i just bought i read some pretty usefull stuff well anyways i was Constantly staying aware while trying to fall asleep saying i am dreaming i am dreaming and the odd I will have a lucid dream tonight its like it was flowing i wasnt even trying to think the words i just got it started and couldnt stop. About 10 minutes in i started to feel drowsy and my eyes were like rocks then I dont know how or when i stoped saying it and fell asleep.
About 10 minutes into my dream i Did the Plug your nose RC and realized i could breathe perfectly! Then i KNEW i was dreaming i acctually did this RC about 6 times in the dream but i couldnt Contrtol ANYTHING it was frustrating because it was like a dream you know where it does what it wants and you have no say in it.
I was dreaming about one thing ive been wanting to for a long time heh smallville and i did the RC a bunch and everytime i realized i was dreaming but i couldnt Go LD i just COULDNT manage to control anything around me when i woke up i was kicking myself all day for not going LD.
Well im very happy you had ur first LD, well… pre-LD actually. or is that the correct term? Its when you know that you are dreaming, but you just cant do anything about it . By defination , wanttobelucidsobad, you had your first LD . Unfortunately, you couldnt control it. But be glad that its a start. Keep trying, dont give up. And you will get there

Glad you got your first one, Corey, great job! I have the same problem with controlling things. Our minds keeping thinking of normal life with gravity and laws. Guess we’ll both have to convince our heads otherwise, eh?
