I got lucid in a dream when I took a nap earlier. I had to pee badly and in my dream I went into a bathroom and I nearly peed. But I told myself “Nooo, you can’t go, you’re asleep in your bed! You gotta wake up and go!”. So I woke myself up.
FAIL.
This was the closest I have been to being lucid in WEEKS. sob
Oh I’m definitely glad I didn’t pee in my bed. haha
I just don’t get why my subconscious thinks this is important enough to let me become lucid in a dream but months worth of trying aren’t. It’s so frustrating
I am amazed at how some people are so brilliant at Lucid Dreaming whilst others try so desperately yet fail for a long time. I’m someone who is in-between. Stuck in the in-between stage though, where I only had around 20 LDs but only 1 or 2 were long enough to enjoy fully.
I had my first two lucid dreams within weeks and I was thinking “Hey, this is a pretty good start. I’m going to be having tons of LDs.” But then I don’t know what happened and they’ve been AWOL for the past six months-plus. I’ve had semi-lucid dreams, but they didn’t really cut it. Actually, lucid semi-dreams would be a better description.
Sometimes I drink a few glasses of water before I go to bed just to get in the state where I need to go to the bathroom. Sometimes it helps me to lucid dream and/or remember my dreams better. You just don’t want to drink too much water tho
