No RCs Requiter?

I’ve had sevreal lucid dreams, starting one week after finding out about it. And got up to about one every other night. I did tons of RCs, but they never helped. Whenever I was dreaming, I knew it. And the ONLY time I ever did an RC was when I was about to jump out of a window for the fun of it (I just had to check). No one in my dream can persuade me differently (and they sure try), and I can instantly do whatever I want (until I hear the beep beep from my alarm).
I n
So what I’m saying is, are RCs really necessary? It never really helps to do them, (although I still do them in my waking life, without noticing it :grrr: . It’s become a habit, which I have to be thinking about to not do it). I think that the only thing that is really required is just to believe, and not a simple I believe it’s possible, but IT’S HAPPENING NOW!, and when a DC says, not it’s not, you say, YES IT IS.

Now, just as a bit of a disqualification, I was fairly natural at lucid dreaming before (although always concentrated on waking up, by running around and trying to hurt myself awake. :wallhit: Basically doing everything to stay asleep.) And I’ve always had vivid dreams, or at least that’s all I can remember. Finally I’m natorias for making one belief and sticking with it, which mite make it be easier to stay lucid.

Edit: I just remembered doing a few RCs in dreams, and not realizing they’re dreams.

when you do a RC you must actually question to your brain if you are in a Dream. Just doing the check without thinking is not going to achieve the same effect. Using the WILD technique does not use Reality checks but WILD needs you to wake up around 4 hours after sleep and go back to sleep. Reality Checks sometimes aren’t done in dreams however the may make you think about dreaming causing you to enter and LD.
No RC are not Necessary but they drastically increase the chances of an LD. But if you can LD at will you shouldn’t need to do a RC.
