Also whats the best way to have one
And what is it like to touching things in there
if you can answer any of these ill be sooooooooooooooooooooo gratefull
I don’t know how it feels when you meditate, so I can’t say if it feels the same. But, flying can feel, very REAL. I know that that’s not very informative but it’s true. It feels like what I imagine flying would feel like. It feels quite a lot like falling, only you go up instead of down. I can feel accelleration in my body and it is exhilirating. That is when it is vivid. Other times it is not so pronounced. It feels like I’m moving through the air, which is, ofcourse, what it’s supposed to feel like.
I don’t know what the best way to have one is but doing WBTB really helps alot. Pity I usually don’t have the dicipline to do it, I really should.
Touching things in a lucid dream is like touching thing in real life, only you know it is just in your mind, which makes it more fascinating. It’s fun to see how things feel, to test if they feel real, and usually they do. Though sometimes the dream senses are not so vivid, so you don’t really have any feeling. But if you concentrate on feeling things, you will feel them. You may find yourself just touching things at random, like, way too much!! Really into it, like, woah, this window is bumpy and smooth, like one of those bumpy-glass windows.
When it first happens successfully, it’s amazing. You feel like you’ve just climbed a gigantic mountain, and have reached the pinnacle, and are now looking over beautiful valleys around you. That’s how my first LD felt.
When I had my first LD, I couldn’t control it really, I just started to notice everything consciously. After that, it’s just like real life, only controllable, and you can lose focus if you get too excited.
In terms of how things feel, to me it felt exactly like what it would feel like in WL.
Anything you do feels exactly like you think it’s going to feel. This applies to flying, touching things, and anything else. It feels exactly like reality, and your mind fills in the blanks on anything you’re not sure of. Thus while the rules are breakable, it feels perfectly real.
As for the best way to have a LD…that really depends on the person. Different people are good at different things. There’s about 100 different guides for different types of methods for different people, I’ll leave it to you to find the type that suits you.
Well, one thing I can say about LD, my first one at least was that I got very very euphoric. A feeling I almost never (if not never) feel IWL. Total WOW-ness. The feeling of running very fast and flying and singing, etc.
I asked that question and got this, “However you want it to feel.” But seriously, it’s supposed to feel realer than real life. I have no way of clarifying it until tonight. (hopefully)
To me it feels exactly like real life. The way you look, the way you touch, the way you talk… it’s just like real life, except you knowingly have the ability to control everything. it’s basically real life, except you’re aware that you can do anything you want without consequences.
I recall my first LD. It happened before I knew anything about LD’ing. I was in a normal dream in the woods that ended at a lake shore. The water looked so amazingly clear and the trees shaded the shore. There was a small village of people near-by. I woke up.
I wanted so badly to return to the beatiful lakeshore that I closed my eyes and drifted off to sleep while thinking about it. All of a sudden I was back there. Right at the lake shore. I remember proclaimnig to myself, “I did it! I did it!”.
I ran up to the lake and placed my hands in the water. It felt cold, crisp and clean. I could feel the ground beneath my feet. I looked around and saw a young girl that was curious about my sudden appearance. We had a conversation about the trees. I found a pine cone, picked it up, and had to be careful because it was poking my fingers. I explained to her how the pine-cone contained seeds that eventually would grow into the trees that surrounded us, and then I woke up.
The experience almost made me feel that I wasn’t dreaming at all, but instead, I had gone to a different world that was as real as the one I came from.
