So last night I was having a lucid dream. This one went on for a while since it was most like around my 4th REM period. But after the REM period stopped, I didn’t wake up but all I did was realize I was still asleep. I was just laying there staring into nothingness. I’m almost absolutely sure the REM session was over so this couldn’t of been one of those black void dreams. It was sort of like I was having a lucid dream…in the non-dreaming parts of sleep. But after about 30 seconds of laying there I awoke. So I guess I was conscious…while in the deep sleep periods.
Any ideas on what happened and how I could stay in this state of consciousness without waking up and just ride it out until a new REM period starts? It’s like uber dream chaining if I could learn how to stay in that state.
It was just a natural DILD. But yeah it was pretty cool. It was like I was in my head and whenever I thought it was like I could hear someone talking what I was thinking.
wow, i had the same thing happen to me yesterday morning !
i was completely paralyzed and minutes seemed like hours :0
my mom shaking me awake had no effect on me either =p
That void is a dark place indeed, but it could be a place to do a lot of thinking, I don’t think my advice will be that useful as I have never experienced it myself but I’ll try…smiles
I find that if you focus within yourself and on your surroundings then everything becomes more balanced.
Why not try meditation? That is all about balance and keeping in a frame of mind. It’s always worth a shot. Try it and let me know how it goes…
