OK, so ever since i started lucid dreaming things have well this is hard to explain… I’ll just give an example. So I’ll be sitting in class or looking a tree walking home and then all of sudden things become really vivid. All the colors arn’t disturbingly intense, but its like I’m seeing them as they should be seen, like wiping the fog off of the glass. say i was looking at one thing then the colors became very intense, then i would look around and then whatever i look at will be more vivid. Also depths become more comprehendable.
I think… the mind is like a parachute. It works better after it’s expanded

Enjoy it! Perhaps you are just really noticing things. If you’ve attained lucidity, you’ve probably become more conscious and aware in your waking hours. Perhaps this has caused the sudden vivid sight.
I get moments in lucid dreams where things i look at are almost clearer than in RL.
Not sure if thats what you’re talking about here, but that a strange phenomenom i get! ^^
If I am to understand that this is in waking life, then it sounds alot like the effects of mindfulness practise, which is very much part of lucid dreaming practise. Sounds like you had moments of clarity. That is, stepped out of autopilot, and switched on your perceptions. It’s like suddenly becoming aware of everything, feeling very connected. I sometimes get that when I wake up in the morning and the world is all vivid and amazing. Otherwise it happens as a result of meditation.
I’m glad i read this. I have had this since childhood, and it randomly occurs. It is like i’m focussing at the point im looking at, almost like it gets magnified, and everything else around it matters less. People who just replied above me see it as a moment of clarity… if you’re talking about the same thing as i do it feels different, since it’s more like your mind wanders off to 1 point way too much. I sometimes get this when i read, my mind focusses on each letter i look at, after which it seems very intense, making it impossible to read.
When i drift off too far with this my fingers start feeling thicker, my tongue and everything around me gets way more intense, like every sense gets magnified and focussed on. It sometimes gets really scary and it’s hard to snap out of it.
I might have to add, i think it happens more often when im tired… cause it happens mostly when im alone in the evening hours… but that might be because daily life isn’t asking for attention.
I’ve been looking for this ‘thing’ i have on the internet lots of times, i’ve met few people on forums discribing the same sort of feelings even to psychiatrists.
I still don’t know what causes it
