On My 2nd Night of Lucid dreaming what could it mean?

I just found out about lucid dreaming, kinda always dreamed a lot, tried it out on wednesday night it worked, i was in control of my dreams aware that I was dreaming and was able to interact, with my dream world.

on thursday night, last night i tried it again, only this time, in my dream i was in a dark room, pitch black, i am not sure , but i think it might have been my own room, I tried to turn on the lights cause i was scared, and it would not turn, i tried to open the door, and leave the room, and escape the darkness, but i opened a door, that led to another door directly in front of it, and it went on and on, I panicked and woke up, cause it was kind of terrifying, but the dream stayed with me vividly even well after i woke up, I think it means something, I want to know how not to panic, in situations when i am terrified like that, awhile dreaming and lucid

A nightmare.

If you happen to be lucid when you find yourself in a claustraphobic nightmare such as yours, just remember that it’s only but a dream.

It’s only you in there.

Well, you can ask yourself questions.
Why do you think you found yourself in that room? Where did you want to go by opening that door, exactly? Why the act of opening the door wasn’t enough to succeed? And hope to understand the dream better. In a sense, dreams have always a meaning, since they always depict ourselves, and as such they always show some part of ourselves.
Good luck with your LD career.

yeah just stay calm and tell yourself it’s only a dream. you can also try closing your eyes and saying that when you reopen them, you’ll be [some place you like], falling backwards can do this too…(just avoid a FA)

The more you panic, the less success you’ll have in escaping the nightmare. Take a few breaths, and try again :content:

Thanks guys, that was helpful
