Partial Success with MILD

So, I had a false awakening last night and reflexively did a reality check. It worked and I left my room instantly. However, as soon as I walked out my bedroom door, the dream started fading and I started feeling extremely heavy. I yelled “Increase lucidity!”, but it came out as a whisper. I came back into the dream in my living room. I stood on my couch and attempted to fly before jumping off and doing an RC. The RC failed. Embarassed, I started back up to my room and then woke up IRL. The dream fading out quickly isn’t what I’m concerned about; as far as I know, that’s normal for first-timers. What I’m concerned about is my second reality check failing. Is this normal too or something I should be concerned about? I would also like to note that I had incredible dream recall, able to recall all of 5 dreams and part of one.

I know this doesn’t help, but that sure does sound awesome. I have yet to become self aware during dreams, nor to do reality checks =[ Though I do them when I wake up every morning, so I hope it becomes a good habit and I’ll try it if I have a false awakening.

this isnt something that you should be concerned about. even if you do a reality check in your dreams, they dont always tell you that you are dreaming. in your case, you had to really have believed you were able to fly, and when you jumped off the coach, you most likely would have flown. in short, a reality check doesnt always prove you are dreaming, unless you believe it will. hope that all makes sense.
