Iam not sure if this has been thought up or disscussed but i was thinking in incorporating placebo into lucid dreaming those who dont know waht placebo is heres an explanation. Take 2 people with a hurt neck, give one say an advil and give teh other one a pill that looks the same, but is just simply a sugar capsul. If u check up on both there is a chance that they will both exhibit the same feeling of relief of pain ,so basically, the mind is telling person number 2 that he took an advil ( because tahts waht he thought it was) and in turn, his mind released whatever needed to relive the pain(and yes this has been proven to work). So heres waht I was thinking unfortunatly for us lucid dreamers this probably wont work cuz we know whats out there, but say if u wanted a freind to get into lucid dreaming, give him a pill and tell him that it will gurantee a LD but really just give him or her an advil or any other non harmfull pill. Iam almost positave that this will work in most cases, but then again this might be already happening becasue iam not to sure if this has already been talked about

This might work but only if the person taking the pill doesnt know a lot about lucid dreaming (otherwise he/she would know there is no such thing as a pill to LD). It might be a funny way to introduce LD-ing to someone you know who has a bit of interest and wants to try it. Hmmm, perhaps I’ll start selling these pills and become filthy rich… lol.
Hey! If I have a headache nothing but 800 of motrin works… believed me I’ve tried and what about ethics in experiments?
And anyway if someone isn’t looking to control their dreams how would they know to try it?
