Last night, I went to sleep but was very excited. I was going to video chat with someone who I had been programming with for about 3 years. I had tried to do shared dreaming with him before, because we were VERY similar. We could sometimes tell what we were thinking. I had never seen what he looked like before. When I was asleep, I remember meeting him in my dream. He looked similar to a friend I had known before, so when I woke up I thought “Nah, its just a random DC.” When I video chatted with him, I was SHOCKED to see he looked identical to my dream version of him. Again, I had NEVER seen him before in my life. This was the first time I had ever seen him / video chatted with him. He has terrible dream recall, and hardly ever remembers his dream, so he didn’t remember dreaming last night. I think we may of had a shared dream. What do you think?
Modified the title to be a little more descriptive
Well I think calling this shared dreaming is a little far fetched, because it only consists of one person having had a dream, but the fact that you dreamed about how he looks and got it right is still pretty cool off course.
Verily possible it is.
Precognition was possible too, but i think the first is more likely…
I wish you another succesful attempts.
Its my aim too.
BTW: reject the common sense (and sometimes logic) to make the impossible possible.
We are VERY similar, we almost are physic with each other. It may of been a SD, but again, he has TERRIBLE dream recall. I keep telling him to keep a DJ, but he keeps saying he’ll just forget his dreams anyway. Its annoying, because we may had a SD, but he just doesn’t remember them.
BTW, I wasn’t lucid in that dream, though I became lucid in a different dream the same night. I didn’t think it was him, because he was acting gloomy/drunk-ish. He almost seemed depressed, and was sitting on a beanie bag. It looked like he was watching a movie/ playing a video game, but I know that’s how people act when they aren’t lucid.
Tell him to try Lucid Dream.
I will, but he always says he never remembers his dreams. Any ideas to help him remember? (Besides DJs)
Try telling him to remain still after waking up and trying to remember them , its what i do
That is what I do too. I’ll tell him tonight when I video chat with him. Thanks. ;D
I cant get him to keep a DJ. What do I do?
Looks like you’ll just have to let the idea of him keeping one go. If he’s too stubborn to start, then there’s no point to continue bothering him. I really can’t think of anything you could do to turn his mind, maybe show him to this site, have him read a bit on dreaming, but some people just don’t care for dreams and dreaming.
Mmhmm. Oh well, he says he has bad memory so he wouldn’t be able to do it. Thanks anyway.
Very possible that it is but it DOES sound a lot like precognition which I’m leaning towards that however he doesn’t remember the dream he had that night so we can’t determine. Either way this sorta thing has happened to me but whenever I have a shared dream I’m pretty much always lucid. Anyway pretty cool that this happened to you
recall is something that can be fixed. Assuming he works towards fixing it Dream journal is the key to recall shocking isn’t it?
Forget DJ.
Tell him to try LD. It may work.
Until i learned lucid dreaming i was unable to remember one dream clearly. After i learned, i remember every Lucid Dream clearly as memory in WL. -
Normal dreams memory too improved.
Well I definitely remember waking up after being lucid and only remembering fleeting images I wouldn’t say simply forget the dream journal most beginners don’t remember dreams more then they do so really it’s all about how badly he wants it cause if he can’t keep up with something that simple then he probably needs to prioritize.
Mmkay. I think we may of had another shared dream where I met him at his job. He woke up remembering the map of the place we were at, so that’s a start.
It is possible, maybe he just didnt remember the dream.
The funny thing was In the first “Shared Dream”, I wasn’t lucid. I just saw him there, with a drunk expression on his face, just for a moment, before I woke up.
