Hello to all!
Just had my second LD yesterday night (2 and a half weeks after the first one; 2 months and 25 days since I started “training” in for LDs), and I noticed that I don’t have control on the events that happen in the dream.
For instance, I can fly but often when I do the image will just go totally blank or I’m not able to fly where I want.
I tried to jump through a closed window and the image of the window multiplyed severel times and more so when I tried again and again, but wouldn’t let me through!
So, how do you gain control on your dreaming state?
When you lose the visuals, you can rub your hands to regain them. Generally speaking, a good technique which can be used in several cases is to look at your hands from time to time. It may stabilize the dream, make it look more real, and a friend of mine use it when he flies: he looks at his hands, so that he can fly very fast and reach the location he wanted to go to.
Other techniques exist, you can search on the forum for stabilizing techniques.
Edit: I’ll move this topic into the “Quest” section, I find it’s a more proper location for it.
Well im not very experienced to really help you, but im gonna tell you my personal oppinion on this. First you have to really believe in yourself while trying this; basically the same state of mind to levitate or telekinesis(maybe not that much). Then increase the lucidity state to a higher awareness.
Sometimes the lower the awareness the harder to control the dream since most of the dream is controlled by your subconcious not your concious sometimes.
I noticed, also, that in the dream when I moved my arms for instance trying to join my hands such as in prayer, my real arms in my waking life moved also, slowly but without pause and I could feel them while I was dreaming.
Is that ok?
That is most likely an illusion, because how would you be sure if you are asleep? If you walk in you dream you dont walk out of your bed do you? Besides, if you really move a bit IRL, it wouldnt be much of a problem anyway.
