Problem with control in LD -Immaterial

The other night I had a spontaneous LD, but the problem was I -literally- didn’t exist in the dream. I could see the room I was in clearly and knew full well it was a dream, but my dream-body wasn’t there at all and I couldn’t move or do anything other than stare at what was in front of me. I’ve heard that focusing on a specific object in a dream can make it more stable, so I looked at a green box with a hinge in the corner. Things started feeling more distinct, but when I tried to rub my hands together to further stabilize the dream I realized that I still didn’t have any hands to rub together. I didn’t know how to go about making them appear either, and I couldn’t move anywhere else, so I ended up spending the rest of the LD just noticing details on the green box in front of me.

Can anyone give me some tips for what to do in this sort of situation?

It sounds like most of the things people would suggest either didn’t help or weren’t possible. If you’re lucky it won’t happen again. I had a few problems with my LDing at first too, but they went away after a few dreams. So I guess be patient and persistant!

It may be DO dream.
It can happen, not often, but it is possible.
No worries, you probably won’t have any of DO dreams for a while, cause it’s pretty rare.
