Well I’d use extension methods, like rubbing hands and / or focussing on dream objects. Others like spinning. Might work, try it! Good luck… 
huh, thats funny, it used to happen to me all the time when I first started doing this. I just learned not to let myself get exited at the realization of the dream. Maybe easier said than done, but I worked at it.
My first truly lucid dream was a problem. I couldn’t do things like rub hands or spin around to stay in it because I truly was “half awake” It was a WILD, unintentional WBTB, with a bit of MILD because I knew exactly what I meant to do. It was great, but I never actually went into sleep paralysis, so at times when I moved in the dream body so would my physical body. it was hard to keep myself in the dream! is that the kind of thing that happened to you?
