Problems im having, quite a few

So heres my troubles:

First, lately my dreams have been diminishing, i havent remembered any at all lately, any ideas?
Second when im trying to go to sleep conciously i guess i have reached the hypnogogic or whatever its called state lol, but i keep getting this feeling like im itching, like there are small things biting at me, and probably is, but any idea how to get past that annoyance?
Also trying to find a good way to fall asleep, like, ow to get to sleep faster, stuff that works for you, and how you stay focused on falling into sleep without losing it to like an itch etc.

Keeping a dream journal is your best bet to improving recall. Write down anything you can remember about a dream, even if it’s just a color, or even just an emotion. Itches and other annoyances during WILD just have to be endured. There isn’t really anything you can do about it, you just have to endure.

I agree with Wyrmfell. If you write down dreams first thing when you wake up, you will be surprised how many you are actually having. Its just that if we don’t write them down we may forget we had them by the time we start breakfast. I’ve looked in my dream journal, and been surprised that I’d completely forgotten I’d had a dream that morning and written it down. Reading about it brought the memory back.

Well heres the problem, i dont know if anyone else has this problem, but theres 2 things, one i can never tell which is the first time i wake up, cause once im laying there im just drifting in and out in the morning, and the other problem is that sometimes i have dreamish-type thoughts while im just laying there, and sometimes i think those are dreams and i get really confused! >_>

Perhaps you need something that will wake you up a bit better. Maybe a louder alarm. I think I know what you mean with the drifting in and out and having dream like thoughts while awake. They’re hypnogogia, and are a precurser to dreams; in fact, you can sometimes step into those hypnogogia and develop them into a dream. When I don’t set an alarm and don’t need to get up I drift in and out of sleep and it can get confusing. I think you just need to arrange something to make you wake right up in the mornings.

I sometimes experience dry spells, times when my dream recall is nearly zilch, I still try to keep a focused mind but I’ve come understand that it usually passes in time. (actually I am coming out of one right now. Been semi-dream-recall-less all week) So, I would advise not to worry to much about it. As long as you have a dedicated mind things should sort themselves out soon enough.

As for your second question, I am not sure if you meaning techniques for wild(s) or just going to sleep in general? I haven’t really gotten into the habit of attempting wild(s) on a regular basis, but I do have trouble falling asleep sometimes. When that happens I usually just lay there and think of a favorite song while relaxing my body. Sometimes it will get to a point where I think I can actually hear the song and then poof I fall asleep.

Okay yea one other thing, i always get confused and forget that the first step of wild is the same thing as when you are trying to drift off counting etc, thats one of my biggest blunders there, but as far as waking up right, i need some suggestions then, i usually only get 5 -7 hours of sleep, and then my alarm is kinda low, but i cant really get a louder one cause it would disturb my parents or something idk… any ideas on that would be good

Ah edit, my biggest problem is when i wake up i dont spring right up like most, i kinda just lay there still tired etc, i dont just get up and go, cause it just feels bleh

I have read about people using a pager or something similar that has a vibration alert to wake themselves up. Maybe this might help?

I can sympathize with that  I don’t like getting up early either. I’ve found the most comfortable solution was to get more sleep by sleeping earlier :bored: but that isn’t always possible. It’s also much harder for me to get up if it’s cold in the house. Maybe you could try to find something you look forward to getting up for too.
