Hi~ I’m new to this LD stuff and I came across LD on some offtopic forums and decided to google up and tada here I am.
After browsing the forums for several days, I decided to register. I have a question on LDing. I’m trying to WILD but the problem is when I’m trying to be aware of the fact that I’m in a dream, I don’t dream at all. I lie down on my bed, and close my eyes, telling myself I’m dreaming, I’m dreaming. Either I don’t fall asleep, or I fall asleep with no dreams and wake up the next day.
…keep practicing, you’ll get it eventually…
I also think WILD is better if you WBTB because I always fall asleep faster then.
It would also be a good idea to keep a dream journal for a while (or just focus on remembering your dreams each morning if, like me, you’re too lazy to write them down)in order to help remeber your dreams, because even if you don’t remember them, you are having them. Once you get better at that you will defintely be more likely to LD and you can use the dj to look for dreamsigns etc.
Pretty much its just that its almost certainly going to take more than a few days (like weeks or months probably).
Hmmx, actually do we have a dream then a WILD or do we have a WILD and a dream? Because I haven’t been having dreams for like quite a long period of time though. Couldn’t remember having dreams every morning I wake up.
Well everyone dreams every nights so it just a matter of keeping your DJ and not rushing into the day helps for me because you will forget your dreams if you start thinking about your days schedual. WILD is not a part of sleep it is just a method of achieving a LD. I just had my first WILD 3 days ago so its just something you have to practice (it took me a month and a half or so)

I was lucky when i started LD’ing. I had my first WILD (which was my first LD) in a week or so… although it wasnt very good, the thought of beating my friend who had started before me felt good
I guess all you really need to do is make sure you keep a DJ, practice alot, and never give, just keep on trying
Any advice on how to recall my dreams because when I go to sleep, and then next moment i awake, 0 recall of my dreams.
P.S I had a LD in the past, I think about a year or 2 ago, after I came to this site and I know that these dreams are lucid dreams. A scary LD but a cool experience .
When you recall your dreams, make sure the first thing you do when you wake up is lay perfectly still, and think of nothing else but what you might have been dreaming about. Eventually your dream will come to you
Also, throughout the day, keep your mind focused on dreams, you may see something, an object or person for example, which you also dreamed about which could trigger a memeory of your dream to come back to you.
To recall my dreams, I drink half of a glass of water and then i put in on my desk. When going to fall asleep, i think of morning when i drink this water and remember my dreams. In the morning i drink this water and write in my DJ.
About WILD, i was pretty lucky because it took me about 2 weeks to have first LD made by myself to come. I was so sleepy this night that when i counted “1. I am dreaming”, on the “2…” i was nearly dreaming and after this i had a LD
