I had a dream the other day… I’m not sure if it would be considered lucid or not. From what I’ve heard, in a lucid dream you can create / do whatever you want.
In my dream, I was at school doing my work normally, when I realized that I was dreaming. I tried to create things out of the air, or teleport somewhere, but nothing happened. I then walked out of the school and proceeded to attack random people. (I was controlling myself, and I knew it was a dream. I decided to fight people since it wasn’t real anyways.)
So I knew I was dreaming, but I couldn’t create or do anything special outside of the real world.
What can I do to become completely lucid, and was this considered a lucid dream?
Yes I’d say you were lucid, because you realized you were dreaming. A dream is called lucid only if you realize it it a dream; it doesn’t necessarily mean you can control it… But being lucid ofcourse increase your ability to control certain aspects of the dream. It’s fairly normal in the beginning that you can’t really control much dream stuff, because it takes time for the subconsciousness to adjust itself to this new, lucid state of consciousness. Only with practice you can gain more control over dream objects.
What can you do to become fully lucid? Practice a lot But if you’re in a LD already, you can for instance shout “increase lucidity” while concentrating on that wish. You could also do some easy mathematics (simple additions will do) to heighten your conscious abilities. Also, repeat to yourself that you are dreaming, and especially, know what this truly means.
