question...

I’m sure that someone has probably had a similar experience before, but I’m new and don’t know my way around yet!

So I’ve been thinking a lot about LDs lately, and trying to induce one. Last night, during my dream, I had this weird idea, kind of like, “There’s something that I need to remember, but if I do, this will probably end.” I know that that didn’t make much sense, but it’s hard to describe. Anyway, I decided to remember, and I realized that I was dreaming. I forced the dream to keep going for a few more seconds, but then everything, I don’t know, dissolved? I remember seeing a picture of yellow stars, and then I woke up. And immediately went back to sleep. And the same type thing happened in my next dream (minus the yellow stars. I just woke up).

If anyone understands what I’m talking about, is this normal? Why do I only realize it’s a dream just before it ends??

it could be the excitement of realising it’s a dream that wakes you up. or it takes so long for you to realise, that the dream is coming to it’s natural end when you find out it’s a dream.

It’s very common when you begin. You could try to rub your hands when the dream dissolves. It’s a prolonging technique.

there’s a few techniques u could use…
Next time try closing your eyes, and tell yourself when you open them you will be in a new place, a new dream.
Or you could close your eyes and visualise a door, or a window, and slowly emerge through it.

also there is the spinning tech, sometimes it can be used along with the rubbing of hands to help you stay lucid.

Just knowing that you are dreaming is a good start.

Good Luck,

Magic

yea, i think it’s great that you even REMEMBER your dream, i rarely even get that:’(

i’m trying to get better tho, remember hearing music when i fell about half asleep this morning,

allso woke up extremely early once again, has been happening since i started to LD:s

wtf?!?! i see this ad in a banner on the site saying"astral projection pills" that can’t be real right?
it’s on a site called magneurol.com:S:S:S

This happens a lot to me too. I’ll usually use the ‘look at the ground’ technique. When you’re feeling you’re about to wake up, focus on the ground. It works most of the time.

Hey, thanks for the tips, guys!

Now… to test them out…

try and hold onto something in the dream, like apole or somthing or a tree brach or a chair, its like “holding onto the dream” i found this has helped me when i first started off as well. its all natural dont worry you will overcome it shortly, and even after you have been doing it for years it may just randomly happen to you sometimes as well  good luck !
