RCILD/DILD frequently?

I am lazy and I started losing interest to LD as I haven’t have one since I studied LD.( I am poor!)
so I think whether RCILD/DILD are easy for me to do every night.Do they just happen like a lucky draw or you may learn skills? I want to learn that cuz I am lazy, not gonna try WILD.

Thanks guys.

Hahah, c’mon.

You want something but you don’t want to put an effort in ti…

DILD’s and RCILD’s can happen from time to time. But this techniques must have background in order to work… You know, you need to work on it.

I can say from my own experience. I mostly do WILD, DILD and RCILD are very very rare for me because I just don’t use those techniques, because I am lazy as you are. But if you want something you will find a way to get it…

Good luck! :content:

So I prefer MILD rather than DILD/RCILD,but no success when I tried too…

Like dB_FTS said, for RCILD/DILD to work you have to have a background. Meaning you have to input effort, constantly checking for dream signs, performing consistent reality checks… etc for a period of time…until it becomes a habit. There’s no easy route to lucid dreaming. But if you keep up the effort, it gets easier, over time it would just feel like one of your daily activities.

As for MILD, how long have you been practicing it? It takes time and patience, as you should know, for techniques to kick in. The ingredients to success are, motivation, confidence, and effort. Keep those balanced and you’re good. :content:

Best of luck!

Thanks for you guys! I pratised them for 3 months but no success, so I lost motivation. But never mind,I will try MILD again tonight . The thing I have to gain is confidence… I am not enough brave to have LD( I always questioned myself whether induction methods work…)

Just a note: Unless you’re a natural, you will have to put some, if not a lot of, work into obtaining consistent LDs.

Now, I want to comment on your last post, Dennispeanut. You said you tried for three months with no success so you lost motivation and gave up. You should be able to see something… peculiar about learning to LD: the amount of work you put into it can be a double-edged sword.

You have to put work in to get anything out, yet when the amount of work put in isn’t matched by your expected success rate you fall into the trap of losing belief. Your mind, consequently, undermines any chances of success you would have had.

If there’s any advice I could give you it would be this: no matter what you do NEVER lose motivation. NEVER give up. NEVER tell yourself it won’t work. NEVER stop believing or you’ll never have the success you want.

I wouldn’t say “frequently” anymore, but RCILD/DILD is my main method of lucid dreaming. It’s attractive to many because you don’t lose sleep and it doesn’t seem to require a lot of effort. HOWEVER, as it has been said, you still have to work to get even these lucid dreams. Whenever I fall out of lucid dreaming (as I have now, I am afraid), I only get one or two LD’s a month, if that, and they’re of poor quality. So if you want to lucid dream but you don’t want to work very hard then it’s simply difficult to lucid dream.

If you do wish to lucid dream mainly with RCILD and DILD, then the biggest help you can give yourself to to practice awareness. Reality check often, notice dreamsigns and oddities, and always ask yourself if you’re dreaming or not. But make sure these don’t become so habitual that you lose the true awareness of them. Can’t tell you how many dreams I’ve had where I reality check/wonder if I’m dreaming but don’t become lucid.

I hope this helps, good luck! :content:

Really thanks you guys supporting me even I wanted to give up,my mind is strengthen again.I will try more ( actually I was scared that perform so many RC is not good for me cuz I am still a student,I have to do that when having lessons)

I would also like to add that dreamers that use MILD tend to forget about the “targets” that LaBerge presented in his work.

By doing those targets you are actually doing LL in a way…

So use that. And when you menage to do it right then your chances will be much grater…
