Real eyelids opening together with dream eyes

Hello fellow dreamers,

Yesterday while spontaneously WILDing in the morning, I noticed that my real eyelids try to open in the same moment I open my dream eyes and “get up” from bed. I remember it happening in most of my morning WILD attempts in the past - unfortunately it was quite disruptive to the process, which was otherwise quick and easy, for example during HI and SP phase. When real eyelids open, dream imagery mixes with IRL and usually it wakes me up, and shortens LD’s in general.

Have you experienced something similar?
I thought about using a sleeping mask, but maybe there is more clever solution to this, like a different way of opening dream eyes?

The second thing - I also noticed the air density in my dreams is big - so I can easily swim in it, but no high speeds there.
Just thought about entering a cheatcode in dream, just like in those FPS games, like “slomo 1.0”, but this might be hard to pull off for novice like me
Would you mind sharing other funny ideas?

To fix the eyelid problem I’d simply push (mentally) into the imagery you see behind your closed eyelids when the HI starts. If you want an OBE-style experience, where you get up from bed, you could also try teleporting directly from your body to another point in the room.

I’ve never had a problem with my physical eyelids opening during a dream, but what I outlined above are the typical strategies used by people who have problems with moving their physical body when trying to focus subconsciously.

As far as flying faster…For me, it’s a matter of non-effort. If I use effort to fly, I fly slowly. If I let myself fly, I fly faster. It’s a Zen thing.

My first LD the air felt like it was made out of syrup, so I shouted ‘clarity NOW!’ and it seemed to work.

I seem to have had a similar problem with FA’s this week - as soon as I open my dream eyes I notice that I open my real eyes as well, so I’m like “yay FA but whoops I opened my real eyes as well :eh:”.

Thank you guys for ideas, I’ll check them out for sure on the next occasion. When it comes to WILD transition, I’ll prefer rolling out of my body rather than teleporting or stuff, because I’m already used to it. Maybe I should pry my dream eyes open with hands?
