It feels that in real world that there is more, well real. It has more vivid, I can feel and touch stuff, and it is different from the dream world.
I can kind of tell when I’m in real world, but not so much as when I’m in dream world because my body is telling me that is is real.
I guess I can also tell because I haven’t gone to sleep recently. Once I get the thought that I might be dreaming, I don’t even really have to do a RC. The Reality checks just prove that I’m dreaming.
Anyone else have something similar to this?
Your post wasn’t really that clear to me. You’re saying your dreams are not as vivid as real life. It’s mostly like that for me too unless I’m lucid, then they are just as vivid as real life. Not always though.
But about reality checks. I don’t get it. Do you not do them because you’re already sure you’re not dreaming, because of this vividness that you don’t experience in your dreams?
Or do you not do them because you already know that you ARE dreaming?
Sorry I didn’t say my post right.
I think that my perveral vision is better in real life than in a dream. I still think that my lucid dreams could be more vivid.
I was wondering if anyone else doesn’t have vivid lucid dreams, and if someone could already know since the vividness is not the same.
I know once I finally ask myself, am i dreaming, I already know the answer b/c if something like a pink hippo is dancing on a ball, i kinda know, and I do an RC just to make sure.
I find that senses can be unbalanced. Some dreams touch is more vivid, sometimes sight or taste. I’ve never tried to balance it out. But when you can feel wind or water or hands it is way better.
I have had unvivid lucid dreams. But it was some time ago. But still I have had lucid dreams that were vivid, but my senses have been screwed up. I feel groggy and my vision is blurry, and sometimes like when you stand up too fast. And two times when I looked at my hand I saw double. The tactile sense was normal.
Meditation is said to make dreams more vivid, maybe you just remember them better. But if you visualise alot you are likely to see better in dreams. The same goes for all senses I think. Also I think it helps to use the senses IRL. I believe that in dreams the senses you pay attention to are more active so if you habitually neglect a sense IRL you may not get any “input” from that sense in a dream. I think that’s how meditation can help, because you can become aware of your senses by practising mindfulness.
