Remebering dreams

So yesterday i fell asleep, and this morning i woke at 10 o’clock, and first thing i did was to try and recall the last dream i had (only remembered one), and i started to write down into my journal, and i ended with a 2 full sheats of paper with my dream on it oO? is it nomal to remember in details what color things has, and/or which ways you went in more details?
(havent entered SP or had a LD yet  still trying though)

If you’re remembering the details of your dream, this means you’re improving. Keep it up. lol

nice  thanks!
Still having a problem getting into SP but, i guess that will improve ?

You are on the right track  Remembering details like colour, sound, texture and taste can take time for some but comes more quickly for others. 2 full sheets is great and shows a lot of detail. That kind of attention to detail is what will propel you forward into more dreams with richer detail. Sometimes I can spend hours writing down dreams that I have really enjoyed or found just stunning.

LDs and SP will come - I can’t improve on what vbflame said: you’re improving. Keep it up.

Talking about SP, i tried a couple of times but not happening :i i get to a point where i cant feel where my hands are, it feels like they are in a whole, not touching anything, and i feel a pain in my feet and my hands, but i can easly move my body when i want
any help on how to get your body in a SP? do you have to be VERY tired when doing it? or how do u approach it?

  • Thanks

since as far as my understanding is, that you need to induce a SP to enter, both LD and OBE. so not being able to enter it yet i dont think that i will enter a LD or OBE just yet  tried MILD once (not SP’ing) but i just fell asleep and dreamt something totally different and not falling into the same dream.
I just read about SILD but do you need to get a SP in that Technique or is that just falling asleep or?
Again thanks for the help

My personal approach to induce SP is to lay down (some ppl can do it sitting in a comfortable chair) relax my entire body from feet to head (or head to feet you prefer) relaxing each part at a time…feet, calves, knees, etc. Then I go from head to toe imagining each part feeling numb until I’ve covered my whole body. Then I imagine ‘waves of numbness’ washing over me until i can’t feel anything at all (even if i still can feel bits i still imagine that I can’t). Then I just kind of let go and ‘let it happen’. This took a lot of practice for me and I’m out of practice at the moment but have just been getting back into it. You don’t need to be tired to have SP but it can help…again, it varies with individuals.

Of course, you might spontaneously go into SP when waking from sleep or a ND which is great as there’s nothing to do but go with it - it’s like a free ride

You definitely DON’T need to have SP to induce a LD - it is just one method. MILD, WILD, SILD (good one ), HI (a favourite of mine) and many others are all ways to induce them. Try not to get caught up in only one methodology and experiment a lot - you might find one method works extremely easily for you whereas others may require more effort.

Continue to enjoy your dreams and be sure to do lots of RCs IWL as this all adds to your brain getting into gear for LD.

Good luck with it and keep us posted on your progress

Will do  but as far as my knowledge u have to do a SP to enter LD using the WILD? though not thru WBTB, MILD og SILD i guess…
since those are waking up during the night, and as far as i understand WILD is not after waking up but before going to bed/ during the day
and inducing as SP doesnt make my head sleepy at all, and if i get a SP i dont know if i could just close my eyes and become lucid?
hmm  will try though !
Thanks

You don’t need to experience SP during WILD. Most people do, but some get SP and enter the dream without realizing it, so I don’t advise you keep waiting for it like a checkpoint, as it may not come for you (the awareness of the SP, that is…).

WILD as any other technique is better if practiced after some hours of sleep. It’s a lot harder to get a LD right as you go to bed as it takes you 90 minutes, I think, for you to enter your first REM phase.

You should enter SP with your eyes already closed, then you can visualize a scene or try to imagine yourself touching something with your hands, or roll out of bed on to your dream floor.

@ReaditTwice: good post!
